Medical Assistant (MA-CERT)

The Medical Assistant certification exam is a 100-question test that is to be completed within two hours. It is done online through our exam portal, which is virtually proctored. Since proctoring is a requirement, your exam must be scheduled at an exact date and time to ensure that a proctor is available to monitor your progress and help you with any questions you may have during your exam. The exam content outline is found on our website and review material is provided free of charge once payment has been received.

There are two routes of eligibility: Education Route or Experience Route

Education Route

This route requires proof of an educational credential within the field you are seeking certification. This must be accompanied by a government issued ID in order to be verified. The verification process typically last 24hrs, but could be less.

Valid documents are:

Copy of Diploma from eligible program
Copy of transcripts showing completion of eligible program

Candidates who have not completed, but are actively enrolled in an eligible program may apply for certification during the last 30 days of program completion. A provisional certification will be granted until proof of completion is submitted. Provisional certification is only valid for six months

Experience Route

This route requires a letter from an employer stating that you have worked in the field you are seeking certification in for at least one year. This letter must be on a company letterhead and proper employer contact information. A government issued photo-ID must be submitted with these documents.

If you meet either of these requirements, you will be able to sit for the exam and get certified.
